2019, a year in review :
It’s been several days that you can enjoy (or not 🙂 ?) our greeting cards on Linkedin (see end of this post for latecomers). But a few greeting cards don’t sum up a whole year so we took a little step back to write you these few lines and tell you in our own way how this year went…
(Small) assessment of 2019… R&D and projects, the DNA of Simplicité!
The year started off with a bang with our participation in the first AP Connect trade fair! We had some great meetings there, but the highlight for us was the testimony of Benjamin Buffereau and Rosanne Quily in charge of business application development for the Brittany Region.
For many years, they have been among our best supports to demonstrate the strength and real value of using the Simplicité platform in a transformation strategy. You can find all their testimonials here (english sub available) :
The months that followed were punctuated with good news as we won, in partnership with Capgemini, not one, but two very fine projects for the Ministry of the French Armed Forces.

These are two strategic HR projects for the department and we are working hard with Capgemini’s teams to make them a success and lead to many more.
Spring was sprinkled with two Meetups dedicated to low-code, on March 12th and May 27th.
Late spring then officially announced the release of the “P23” version of Simplicité. It brings with it a lot of new features such as: a complete redesign of the code editor, new CRUD editing functions, a new graphical tree view, new icons…
If the heat wave was about to hit in July, it was in June that it was the hottest month at Simplicité…
Just in time to present our platform at the Diabetes Tech Roche on 6 & 7 June, Thomas gets on his scooter to participate as a partner in the DSI Consortium organized by the Club Décision DSI which brings together more than 1300 CIOs from the private and public sectors.

A particularly interesting event and relevant meetings that convinced us, after being selected again by the jury, to renew our partnership for 2020! Members will be able to meet us again on September 23rd for the “Rencontres de l’Innovation Technologique”.
While the fans are running at full speed in the offices at 38 rue de Trévise, June 17th arrives with great pomp and circumstance and it’s time for User Club #5!

We thus receive customers and partners in a Parisian Loft to present the platform’s major new features. The key word here is exchange. Exchange between them and with us on their experiences Simplicité and around low-code in a more general way.
We approach the pluses and minuses, and put our R&D at their service to move forward together on their transformation projects. The programme was full and the feedback we received has only encouraged us for the future! Thanks again to them! With a satisfaction score of more than 8 out of 10, this can only encourage us for a 6th edition even more at your service (if it’s possible :p ) !
Between two slides we receive (at last!) an email from DataDock telling us that we can now give certified trainings. It may not mean much to you but for us it’s important, so we can say it loud and clear: we are “Datadocked” (more about Datadock) and you can quietly have your Simplicité training financed by your OPCA. Don’t hesitate to contact us!

Paris beats its heat record of 42.6°C, jackhammers invade the city, the summer will be hot and under the sign of the works.
Simplicité will not escape it, the “P24”, last evolution of the version 4 of the platform is in full development and our R&D team is sweating…
In September, we are pleased to welcome Maxime for his final year of apprenticeship study. He’s preparing his diploma at the EPF de Sceaux and we’re working on a tool that will be unveiled soon and on which we can’t wait to tell you more… But for the moment… Shhhh!

As the end of summer approaches P24, the days are getting shorter. A first beta version is released and it is for us the occasion to inaugurate a new webinar format allowing us to show the latest on-board evolutions.
You can find the replay below, this version will finally take off at the beginning of 2020.
The end of the year will be punctuated by other good news, including a strengthening of our partnership with Orange Business Service. Indeed, OBS has won a major call for tenders (an 8-year contract, including nearly 2 years of development!) for the Etablissement Pour l’Insertion Dans l’Emploi. This project aims to overhaul the organization’s core business application. We would like to congratulate the Orange teams for this great success and we are very confident about the continuation of this partnership full of promises for the future!
Finally, we have (a lot) thought about making a video presentation of Simplicité that can demonstrate the added value of the platform in less than two minutes while remaining original. If you haven’t had the chance to see it, let yourself be tempted, we never get tired of it…
More generally, we would like to warmly thank all our partners, both old and new: Partenor , Velvet Consulting, Orange Business Services, Capgemini, Nexworld, Serial CH, SmartYou…
At the time of the balance sheets and galettes des Rois you will have understood it 2019 was a beautiful year and we expect a 2020 cuvée of the same kind. By the way…
And what can we expect for 2020?
At Simplicité we love surprises and we prefer to keep a few cards up our sleeves, however here are a few tracks that will set the pace for your year and ours:
– A new dedicated site, which we will announce when it is ready 😉
– A major new version… Which will result in a more formal communication later this year.
– Our 6th user club!
And some secret projects of course … 🙂 !
So to all of you, thank you for sharing this year with us.
As usual, please do not hesitate to send us your requests and ideas for the platform. Listening to your needs and responding to them in the best possible way remains and will remain in our DNA for this year and the years to come.
The Simplicité team wishes you an excellent year 2020!
And as promised, here are the few greeting cards we shared on the networks:
